Bulandshahr: Bajrang Dal workers protest over removal of Kalyan Singh’s name from park

News Desk: Bajrang Dal workers, on Wednesday, protested over removal of Kalyan Singh’s name from a park in the Siyana area, in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr.

Allegations of Bajrang Dal workers

The Bajrang Dal workers raised slogans  at the Siyana tehsil headquarters in demand of restoration of the park’s name to “Babuji Kalyan Singh Park”. A memorandum was also submitted to the Siyana SDM.

A Bajrang Dal worker said “A park near the roadways bus stand, which was renamed Babuji Kalyan Singh Park two days back, had the name removed on Tuesday night”

Bajrang Dal district panchayat member Yogesh Raj said “The executive officer of the Siyana municipality and two unknown persons erased Kalyan Singh’s name from the park”

“The sentiments of the workers as well as the society have been hurt. That’s why we demonstrated in front of the park and raised slogans against the executive officer of the municipality” he added.

Siyana SDM Subhash Singh’s remarks

Siyana SDM Subhash Singh said “The park belongs to children”

“The memorandum will be sent to the municipality and whatever the board decides, action will be taken on that basis” he added.
