Debjit Mukherjee: The central government has temporarily banned the export of some basmati rice. On Sunday, the center informed that a ban has been imposed on the export of basmati rice, which is sold at a low price of 1,200 dollars in the foreign market. However, there is no restriction on export of basmati rice above this price.
