Duttapukur blast: BJP walks out of assembly session

Debjit Mukherjee, Kolkata: BJP MLAs walked out of the Assembly session on Monday demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, blaming her for the Duttapukur blast. However, BJP has filed a case in Calcutta High Court seeking CBI and NIA investigation in this incident.

Leader of Opposition Subvendu Adhikari said, “TMC’s involvement in this incident is clear. They might destroy all information and evidences. That is why a case has been filed in Calcutta High Court seeking NIA and CBI investigation. The OC of the local police station takes a bribe of Rs 50,000 per month. For this situation, the chief minister is responsible. She apologized for the the Egra blast and assured people that such incidents will not happen again. In fact, it was all an eyewash. The Duttapukur incident has made that clear.”
