Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s ‘Sharod Upohar’

News Desk: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reduced the cost of Corona test in private places from Rs 2,250/- to Rs 1,500/-. The Chief Minister said that the decision was taken after a meeting with the cabinet. Chief Secretary Alapan Banerjee claimed this decision as Chief Minister’s ‘Sharod Upohar’.

The Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay said “The Health Department of the Government of West Bengal and the Municipality of Calcutta provide ambulance services to all Covid patients in the state unconditionally. Any patient can call or call Swasthyabhavan or Kolkata Municipality to get or get a free government ambulance to and from any hospital or nursing home for covid treatment. Yet some people hire ambulances from private hospitals or nursing homes or other agencies. In that case also, the state government thinks that the ambulance fare needs to be reduced. At the behest of the Chief Minister, the state government is requesting the concerned regulatory commission to immediately reduce the fare of these private ambulances to a fair tolerable level before Puja”
