BJP supporter allegedly beaten up by TMC goons on May 3, died on Thursday

News Desk: Political violence by the ruling TMC is not going to stop after the assembly election results in West Bengal. BJP supporter Debabrata Maiti of Nandigram, who was injured in the beating of TMC goons on May 3, died on Thursday. He was hospitalized after being seriously injured after being thrashed by TMC workers. BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari, who defeated Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram, has informed about the same.

Suvendu wrote in tweeting that, “The shocking news today from my constituency #Nandigram Vidhan Sabha”. # Debabrata Maity of Chilagram village succumbed today. On May 3, exactly 1 day after the election results came, he was brutally beaten up by Trinamool Congress goons. West Bengal wanted real change, not this.” After the death of Debabrata Maiti, Suvendu paid tribute to him and said that I am standing with the family of Maiti in this hour of grief and I am confident that the great people of West Bengal are also standing with him.

He tweeted after paying tribute to the mortal remains. He wrote “Prayed to God for the departed soul. May the soul find eternal peace. I stand with his family in this hour of grief, not only MLA him but also as the son of this holy earth. I am confident that the great people of West Bengal will also stand by him.”
