Cops use tear gas and lathis to stop protesting farmers at the Delhi border

News Desk: On Republic Day, protesting farmers decided to go for a tractor parade to protest the three anti farmer bills. Thousands were seen marching with flags; many of them were also on tractors. The farmers’ tractor rally was expected to be held after 12 PM. However, huge crowds gathered on the borders at around 8 AM.

An official said “Security personnel tried to convince the farmers that they have been given permission to hold their tractor parade in Delhi after the Republic Day parade. But some groups of farmers did not relent and started moving towards the Outer Ring Road breaking police barricades”
