News Desk: A scuffle broke out between protesting farmers and the Jalandhar Police on Sunday, during the protest. The agitating farmers gheraoed the BJP office and made it amply clear that they will not let the Bhartiya Janata Party to hold rallies in the nearby areas.
The farmers after indulging in talks with the police officials then turned violent and both sides resorted to violent means.
Earlier, farmers called off their stir in Karnal on Saturday after the Haryana government ordered a judicial probe into last month’s police lathicharge on demonstrators and agreed to send the IAS officer who purportedly told personnel to “break the heads” of agitators on leave.
