News Desk: The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) will decide on Tuesday on a proposal by farmers’ unions of Haryana to march towards Delhi and indefinitely gherao Parliament on the first anniversary of their protest against the farm laws on November 26.
The top decision making body of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) is slated to meet on Tuesday.
This will be the first major meeting of the SKM after the Delhi Police removed its barricades from the border sites of Tikri and Ghazipur, which have been the protest spot for farmers for the last 11 months.
Sources said farmers’ unions of Haryana held a meeting in the state last week and proposed to lay siege to the Parliament unless the contentious farm laws were rolled back.
On November 8, a separate group of 32 farmers’ unions from Punjab held a meeting and passed a resolution to march towards Delhi on the first anniversary of the ongoing agitation.
Earlier, BKU leader Rakesh Tikait had said that the farmers’ protest would be intensified if the farm laws were not repealed by November 26.
