Gandhi-Modi war on farm bills continues

News Desk: On Sunday Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his 69th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, praised farmers for their role and continuous efforts in making an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. He stayed firm in his claim that the bills will be beneficial for the farmers. The three bills also received nod from president Ramnath Kovind.

The bills received severe opposition from his arch rival Rahul Gandhi from the very beginning. He took to Twitter several times to slam the Modi government and even backed the Bharat Bandh and launched a campaign named ‘Speak Up For Farmers’ to protest the ‘anti-agricultural’ bills.

The former Congress president is likely to join the Punjab farmers in this protest. He said “After Punjab, he may join the protesting farmers in Haryana. But we are not sure if the BJP government in Haryana will allow him to enter the state”

In his last tweet Gandhi said “Agricultural law is a death sentence for our farmers. Their voice has been crushed in and out of Parliament. This is a proof that democracy in India is dead”
