How Mamata Banerjee and Sougoto Roy gave befitting reply to Amit Shah and BJP?

News Desk: “Bengal’s growth had plunged and its industrial production had dropped from 30 per cent of India’s share in 1947 to just 3.5 per cent. Who is responsible for this downfall?”…..This big statement came from Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a rally at Birbhum on Sunday.

The ruling All India Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee and MP Sougoto Roy gave a befitting reply to Shah and the saffron party on Tuesday. The duo talked about progress and development in the state in stats.

PROGRESS OF BENGAL

TMC MP Sougoto Roy said

“The GDP of Bengal has increased in the last ten years.

Amit Shah says the condition of jute industry is bad. Orders have been placed to buy 6 crore jute bags. Bengal ranks fifth in industrial growth.

The service sector has grown by 72 percent. 1,117 km of rural roads have been constructed. Bangla is the highest in increasing the number of hospital beds. The number of nurses has increased by 51 percent.

Electricity has reached all the schools in the state. Thirty new universities have been created. Farmers in Bengal are paid Rs 5,000 per acre annually under ‘Krishak Bandhu Project’.

1.4 crore families have benefited from the ‘Swastha Sathi’. Foreign investment in the state has increased by 24 percent.

Violence against women has increased in Uttar Pradesh in 2014-2019. The statistics of violence against women in Bengal has decreased by 21 percent.

Amit Shah has provided false information. The industrial sector has grown by 70 percent in the last ten years. Bengal is ahead in terms of per capita income”

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said

“Home Minister said a lot of things but I think when PM, HM says something they must have facts right. He painted a very sorry picture about Bengal. But where was he 10 years back when we took over?

According to the Government of India records, Bengal is number 1 in the eradication of poverty in India. Bengal is number 1 in 100 days work, rural housing, rural road, MSME sector, e-tendering and e-governance. GSDP of Bengal has increased 2.6 times. More than 1 crore jobs have been created in the state.

They speak so much about law and order. Even suicides are being termed as political killings. Kolkata has been adjudged safest city twice.

383 ex-Maoists have surrendered, 370 KLO activists have been rehabilitated, and hills and Jungalmahal have become peaceful.

The state celebrated festivals peacefully, institutional delivery is at 98 per cent and school dropout rates have come down.

The state’s infant mortality rate has come down to 22 from 34 per cent.

We have 95 per cent discharge rate. We have managed the Covid situation best in the country. Total treatment is free”

RELIGIOUS HATRED AND POLITICS IN CULTURE

The duo also slammed the saffron party of religious hatred and involving politics in culture.

MP Sougoto Roy said

“Netaji, Vivekananda, BJP’s tension with Rabindranath is all due to the vote. Have they read any of Netaji’s or Vivekananda’s books? Have they also read the translation? They are talking over and over again without reading them.

Even though we know Netaji’s birthday, we do not know the date of his death. It is still unknown. Attempts are being made to distort history.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had already written a letter demanding the declaration of January 23 as a national holiday on the occasion of Netaji’s birth anniversary. Rabindranath’s place is not a place for politics. BJP leaders enter Visva-Bharati. It is not right if Kailash Vijayvargiya, Rahul Sinha enters the house of worship in Uttarayan. It is strongly condemned. We strongly condemn it”

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said

“Last year and earlier also I said, Why Jesus Christ’s birthday will not be declared as a national holiday? You tell me it was there earlier. Why has the BJP government withdrawn that? Everybody has sentiments. What harm have Christians done? This festival is celebrated throughout the world.

This time yes there are some problems due to COVID-19 pandemic. We have to wear masks and maintain social distancing.

Is there secularism in India? I am sorry to say, a typical religious hatred politics is going on. I want to condemn this today”
