CBI official said “He informed us this morning that he won’t be able to do this today as he is busy in taking stock of the water logging situation in his constituency”

Last week, the CBI interrogated West Bengal Industry minister Partha Chatterjee at his Camac Street office in connection with this case. He denied all allegations of involvement and said “I told them whatever I had to say. I hope they are satisfied with the answers”

Like the Sarada and Rose Valley chit fund companies, the now-defunct I-Core was also accused of decieving investors by offering them abnormally high returns on investment.

The directors of I-Core group — Anukul Maity and his wife Kanika — were arrested by the CBI last year. Anukul Maity passed away while he was in jail last year.

The CBI alleged involvement of state ministers in this scam.
