News Desk: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said she was not aware of the subject of the Jammu & Kashmir all-party meeting being chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A crucial meeting, reportedly on the future political course of action in Jammu and Kashmir, convened by PM Modi, is currently underway in New Delhi with the attendance of 14 leaders, including four former chief ministers.
Amid reports that the meeting might also see discussions on statehood for Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said, “I don’t know what was the reason for removing the statehood in the first place. India’s name was tarnished globally due to that Article 370 purge.”
“Anyone who questions BJP is anti-national,” she added.
Mamata Banerjee also hit out at the BJP over the farm laws and said that farmers’ demand for the revocation of the three laws is “absolutely correct”.
