Is West Bengal about to witness a violent protest in connection with the imposition of president’s rule?

News Desk: Before the upcoming 2021 election in West Bengal the state is marked with political violence and killings. The state witnesses death of party workers almost on a random basis. The Bharatiya Janata Party claims that the ruling TMC party is responsible behind the killing of the BJP workers. However the opposition as of now hasn’t produced any evidence against the Mamata government to support their claim. Even state BJP chief Dilip Ghosh and governor Jagdeep Dhankar also claimed that West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee has been converted into a ‘police state’. The state police on many occasions proved the pics and videos circulated by the BJP wrong.

The Bharatiya Janata Party leaders believes that imposition of President’s rule would improve the law and order condition in the state. But the TMC leaders gave them a befitting reply by saying that the opposition should focus on the condition of BJP ruling states like Uttar Pradesh. Even chief minister Mamata Banerjee backed the state police by saying that they’re responsible and doing their duties with full sincerity. Even Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also talked about imposition of president’s rule in the state.

But MP Soumitra Khan in a guaranteed tone said that presidents rule in the state will be imposed by December. Khan said

The law and order situation has completely collapsed in the state. The killing of BJP workers is a daily affair. I want to assure all of you that by December this year, Presidents’ Rule will be imposed in the state

Today BJP MP Babul Supriyo even hinted at the imposition of president’s rule in the state. Supriyo said

The people of West Bengal are with us. If Mamata Didi is in power, it is all because of the politicisation and misuse of police and administration. I believe we will win elections with a majority of over 200 seats in Bengal.

If the BJP government is formed in Bengal, the state will get what it deserves. Mamata Banerjee does not believe in the Constitution. The path is clear for us and we will win in Bengal.

More than 130 BJP workers killed in West Bengal in the last three years. There is a complete law and order failure in the state. BJP does not indulge in violence. Bengal is always in news due to violence. There have been several attacks on our leaders.

If Didi thinks, she can do it then there are constitutional provisions which can be used to remove Mamata. It would be better if Mamata Didi maintains the essence of democracy and the Constitution ahead of the polls.

Our experienced leaders will go in West Bengal. BJP is a national party. We want our grassroots level workers to get help with the experience of our central leaders so that we can oust the ”goonda raj” of TMC from West Bengal.

Didi has blocked Central schemes including Ayushman Bharat and PM-KISAN in the state.

BJP wants a similar kind of development in West Bengal, like in Gujarat

Even the state BJP chief Dilip Ghosh today had his saying on the Malda blast case where six person got killed in a blast in a plastic factory. Ghosh said

We think there is a need for central intervention in the Malda blast probe. Only central agencies can probe the matter impartially. The state police, instead of probing the matter will try to hush it up. The culprits behind this blast should be identified and punished.

Bomb blasts have become a regular affair in West Bengal. Every other day, there is an incident of bomb blast in the state. The state has become a hub of illegal bomb-making factory during the TMC rule

BJP never wanted to topple an elected government and, like everyone else, wanted it to complete its five year term.

Our party never demanded President’s rule in Bengal . We will come to power in the state by democratically winning in the Assembly elections next year”

TMCs Bratya Basu was quick to answer to this allegation. Basu said

BJP wants to create communal polarisation in Bengal ahead of the Assembly elections. A few years ago there was a blast at a chemical factory in Gujarat where some people died and many got injured. We did not try to find any terror aspect of the incident.

There is no need to communalize an accident just because state elections are approaching.

Accidents do happen, but whenever any accident takes place in Bengal, the BJP tries to politicise the issue

Now the main part of the story as per the ruling party TMCs claim “Is this the arch rival’s strategy to create terror in the state so that it becomes easy to impose president’s rule in the state by December as Soumitra Khan claimed?”

Is West Bengal about to witness a violent protest in connection with the imposition of president’s rule?”
