News Desk: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister leader Yogi Adityanath on Thursday campaigned for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the West Midnapore district of West Bengal, where he attacked the ruling Trinamool Congress for corruption, poverty and anarchy in the state.
He attacked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging she did not allow any industry to settle in Bengal and said that those already there had to shut down and only the TMC goons’ business prospered.
“The TMC, Congress rule led to corruption, poverty and anarchy. For 10 years, the TMC didn’t do anything. Mamata Didi didn’t let any industry settle, those already there were shut with only TMC goons’ business prospering,” Adityanath said.
He further slammed his Bengal counterpart, claiming she only wants the development of her party and not of the poor, fishermen or farmers in the state.
“Mamata Didi doesn’t want to develop the poor, fishermen, or farmers as she just wants her and TMC’s development. Her slogan is ‘Mera Vikas Aur TMC Ka Vikas’ while BJP follows ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’,” Yogi said.
