Md Nawaj Shorif, Malda: As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, NTPC Farakka, under the Ministry of Power, organized ‘Bijli Mahotsav’ on the evening of 28th July at Jhaljhaliya, Malda to celebrate the collaboration between the state and the Central Governments and highlight the key achievements of the power sector.
Chief Guest, Shri Sanjiv Kumar, GGM Farakka started the program with the lighting of the lamp. Shri Achyut Kumar Bhattacharjee, AGM (IT), Shri Ziaur Rahman AGM (HR), and Smt. Smt. Sutapa Mukherjee, Councillor, English Bazar Municipality, Tabina Ophaque, Public Relations Officer and Zahiruddin Ahmed, NTPC Farakka CSR were present on the occasion.
Shri Achyut Kumar Bhattacharjee, AGM (IT), the Nodal Officer of Bijli Mahotsav, talked about the schemes like Kusum and Saubhagya, started by the central government and also highlighted the role of NTPC Farakka in achieving such monument in the lives of his students.
To engage with the visitors and guests, various cultural programmers, nukkad nataks on Bijli Bachao’ and ‘Village Electrification’ and screening of short films on the power sector were organized.
