News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed the Ministry of External Affairs to brief the Opposition leaders on developments in Afghanistan. In a tweet shared today afternoon, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that all the floor leaders of political parties will be informed about the prevailing situation in Afghanistan and the evacuation of Indians from the war-torn nation.
“In view of developments in Afghanistan, PM Narendra Modi has instructed that MEA brief Floor Leaders of political parties. Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi will intimate further details,” Jaishankar said.
The government’s briefing is expected to focus on its evacuation mission from Afghanistan as well as its assessment of the situation in that country.
