News Desk: The Police have detained several prominent individuals from the Hindu Jagarane Vedike along with the working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad from Madikeri on Wednesday.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Hindu Jagarane Vedike leaders reportedly conducted ritual worship at the Shri Omkareshwara Temple in Madikeri on Wednesday in the memory of the late Kuttappa, who died in the unpleasant incident that occurred during Tippu Jayanti in 2015. While the current president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Suresh Muttappa, and Hindu Jagarane Vedike’s leaders were coming out of the temple, the police detained the group, it is learned.
To maintain peace and order, the Coorg District Administration has issued restrictions throughout the district.
