News Desk: Mumbai Indians gained victory over KL Rahul’s Kings XI Punjab by 48 runs. Coming to bat first Mumbai lost two quick wickets but a steady batting from Rohit Sharma and contributions from Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya took Mumbai to 191 with the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma topped the batting chart with 70 off 45 deliveries.
Punjab started well until Jaspreet Bumrah gave the first breakthrough. Punjab unable to accelerate their innings ended up in 143 with the loss of 8 wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Nicholas Pooran played a speedy knock of 44 from 27 deliveries. Contributions came from Mayank Agarwal and Krishnappa Goutham too.
