Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut detained by ED; “Won’t bow down” replies Raut

Debjit Mukherjee: Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut was detained by the Enforcement Directorate, in connection with the Patri Chawl case, from his Bhandup residence and taken to the ED office in Ballard pier Sunday.

ED officers came to his residence in eastern Mumbai along with a posse of CRPF personnel at 7.20 am.

Sanjay Raut’s first reaction coming in right after ED questioned him for 9 hours straight he said that “False charges and documents are being framed against people. All of this is being done to weaken Shiv Sena and Maharashtra. Sanjay Raut will not bow down. I will not leave the party”. “Shiv Sena leaders don’t have any valid argument and now it is decided that the black money can’t be hidden” says BJP’s Ram Kadam.
