News Desk: Pro-Khalistan group Sikhs for Justice on Friday warned that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will not be allowed to hoist the national flag on Independence Day.
An audio message from an international phone number has been received by Uttar Pradesh Police which not only warned CM Adityanath against hosting the national flag on August 15 but also said that thermal plants will be shut down on the same say.
The audio message from international phone number +6478079192 purportedly in the name of SFJ’s Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, claimed that western areas in Uttar Pradesh ie from Saharanpur to Rampur will be taken over by Khalistan.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh ADG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said that police is trying to track the source and check the authenticity of the audio. Kumar said the phone call could be a ‘mischief’ and assured of a speedy and thorough probe.
