News Desk: Amid speculation over his replacement by Lok Sabha lawmaker Dr Sukanta Majumdar, Bengal BJP leader Dilip Ghosh on Friday said that his tenure as the party’s West Bengal unit chief will end in December 2022.
Ghosh said “Not only his, there are many names that are doing the rounds as the next BJP president in Bengal. I would like to clarify that in the past month, I have not spoken to our party national president JP Nadda ji. Also, I have not suggested anybody’s name. As far as I know, my tenure, as well as Nadda ji’s tenure, will end in December 2022. So there is no question of any change now”
Earlier Ghosh and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari wrote letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the flood situation in the state. Both alleged that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s claim is totally based on untrue, wrong and false data.
