News Desk: Sources close to West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee confirmed that she will contest only from Nandigram. On January 18, Mamata Banerjee sent political circles in Bengal buzzing when she announced to a full house in Nandigram that she’d contest from the East Midnapore seat in the 2021 Assembly elections.
Sources close to the chief minister have now confirmed that she will be contesting from Nandigram alone. The party has narrowed down on a candidate for the Bhabanipur seat in Kolkata too, but they don’t have the liberty to reveal the name at the moment.
