CBI interrogates Hathras victim’s mother and brother

News Desk: After investigating the Hathras case for the past 25 days, the CBI suspects that the 19-year-old Dalit girl has been murdered by one of her own. On Wednesday, the CBI had called the woman’s mother and her brother to their camp office and interrogated them for nearly three hours.

After questioning, when the mother and son reached their home, the delegation of human rights organization People’s Union for Civil Liberty also reached. The victim’s brother said “The CBI asked me if we’ve killed her or not. I replied would anyone kill his mother and sister?”

He added “I told them that we would have killed her at home, why would we kill her on the farm? My sister, while alive, has named four people in her statement who have done this incident with her. If we had to kill him, then why would we take him to the police station in an injured state?”
