News Desk: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee kept her words. The day after taking oath, she announced that a family member of the five people who died in Sitalkuchi during the voting will be given a government job. The state government started the recruitment process within six days. Recruitment documents were handed over to the five family members on Wednesday night. Cooch Behar district Trinamool president Partha Pratim Roy posted the picture on social media.

At Lansdowne Hall in Cooch Behar on Wednesday, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, through the district magistrate and other officials, handed over documents related to the appointment of a special homeguard to one of the families of those killed in the Shitalkuchi incident. They were also called on Thursday. According to sources, some more documents related to recruitment were to be submitted.
