Dead body of booth-level BJP worker recovered, party blames TMC

News Desk: The body of a 24-year-old booth-level BJP worker was recovered on Tuesday from a river in Ilambazar area of ​​Birbhum . The party has complained to the Election Commission. The body of Bapi Ankur has been recovered from near the Shaul river of Nadas village. 

Ankur’s family have alleged that he was strangled to death. A senior police official said that a case of unnatural death has been registered. The actual cause of death will be known after the postmortem report.

Ankur’s father Nirmal Ankur saying, ‘I suspect my son has been murdered.’ Local BJP leader Anirban Ganguly, after meeting the victim’s family, claimed that Ankur’s body had traces of blood. He said that Ankur’s murder is probably the result of Trinamool Congress’ popular jingle ‘Khela Hobe’.

BJP lodged a complaint at the Election Commission. He said, ‘The Election Commission should take cognizance of Slogan. We have lodged a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer regarding this. Trinamool Congress MLA from Bolpur and state fisheries minister Chandranath Sinha said, ‘BJP is unnecessarily making it a political issue. I demand a fair investigation from the police.
