News Desk: Cops recovered firearms from a protestor at Howrah Maidan during the ‘Nabanno Chalo’ agitation on Thursday afternoon. On barricading protestors at GT Road, brick-throwing bombs were thrown at police which forced them to fire teargas. In the meantime, police caught a protestor from whom firearm was recovered. But the police has not yet revealed whether that person was arrested or not. A policeman was seen walking down the street with a revolver in his hand. He said the firearm did not belong to the police. He did not want to say more.
MP Locket Chatterjee denied such allegations. She said “Trinamool has infiltrated the miscreants to create chaos. The BJP is a disciplined party. They don’t do that”
