How BJP’s IT Cell misleading people of non BJP states regarding oxygen?

News Desk: A lie is being spread by the BJP’s IT cell that the Center has allocated PM Care money for the construction of the oxygen plant, but the state government is blamed for not doing so. But these are not projects of the state government. No state government is supposed to get money from the center, nor it has received it. From tender calling to installation, everything is the responsibility of CMSS under the Ministry of Health of the Central Government. They are still doing the job completely. Let’s have a look at the entire thing.

From the PM CARES Fund, in order to increase the facilities in the public health system of the country in case of emergency, a budget of Rs 201.58 crore has been allocated for the setup of additional 162 PSAs.

* The collection will be overseen by an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Central Medical Supply Store (CMSS).

* Total project cost includes Rs.137.33 crore for supply and operation of Central Medical Supply Store (CMSS) and about Rs.64.25 crore for annual maintenance contract.

* A total of 162 plants with a production capacity of 154.19 metric ton will be set up in 32 States and Union Territories.

* The location of the government hospital where the plant will be set up has been identified in consultation with the concerned States and Union Territories.

* Each plant has a warranty for the first 3 years. And the project is included in CAMC (Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract) for the next 7 years.

* Regular maintenance of plants is the responsibility of the hospital and the concerned state. After the CAMC period, the responsibility of full care will be borne by the hospital and the concerned state.

Now let’s have a look at the other side and a few more important things

* No state government has received money from the Center to build these plants.

* CMSS under the Ministry of Health of the Central Government is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the plants for the first 3 years. It is a project of the central government and it has been decided which of these hospitals will be set up in different states of the country.

* The money is with the central government, the central government has called for tenders (in October 2020), after all is settled, the central government has issued a press release (in January 2021). The central government also knows when these will be made. Even on April 18, the central government tweeted two more, claiming that 59 and 60 plants would be built by the end of April and the end of May, respectively.

However, some people (BJP’s IT cell) are trying to put the blame for this horrible failure on the necks of states like Delhi, Maharashtra, West Bengal by manipulating and lying. Where so many people are dying for lack of oxygen, they also have this mentality of politics and manipulation.
