“The leader of the opposition of assembly from our party is misleading the party’s central leadership. This cannot be accepted” : BJP MP Saumitra Khan on LoP Suvendu Adhikari

News Desk: BJP MP Saumitra Khan lambasted Suvendu Adhikari, an hour after resigning as the state youth president of the party, on Wednesday.

In a video message, Khan said, “The leader of the opposition of assembly from our party is misleading the party’s central leadership. This cannot be accepted”

“He came to our party with 128 TMC leaders, most of whom are thieves and pickpockets. None of them could win,” said Khan, and added that he had warned the party’s central leadership about this. “But the party refused to pay attention to me. Even party president remained silent”

He did not specify if he was referring to the state or the central president of the party.

Khan said he would be a loyal BJP soldier and will never sever ties with the party.

The public outburst of Khan is being perceived as a clear indication of the internal rift between old leadership and youngsters in the BJP.

The allegations by Khan, who was brought to the BJP by Mukul Roy, comes at a time when Adhikari is feeling the heat of Mamata Banerjee administration and the TMC.

It is to be noted that state party chief Dilip Ghosh decided not to accept a Union cabinet minister post in the fear of losing grip over the party in the state.

The RSS, meanwhile, is maintaining silence as Adhikari, who defeated Mamata in a historic election. It also works to his favour that Adhikari was an RSS activist till the age of 18.
