“Incidents of post-poll violence in Bengal have been barbaric; BJP workers have been murdered”: Suvendu Adhikari

News Desk: High voltage drama on first day of the budget session of the West Bengal legislature on Friday. The Bharatiya Janata Party staged a walkout to protest against the post-poll violence in the state. Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar was addressing the legislature with a focus on the violence that engulfed the State after the announcement of the election results when the Members of Legislature led by Suvendu Adhikari staged a walk.

After that Adhikari told media “Incidents of post-poll violence in Bengal have been barbaric; BJP workers have been murdered. More than 300 women were molested; a few were raped. This isn’t mentioned in the Governor’s address; BJP workers have protested at Vidhan Sabha”

“I welcome the judgement given but charge should be given to independent agency; FIR must be filed outside Bengal and probe should continue. Things will be clear then. The interim report proves the affidavit filed by Bengal CM is false” he added.

Earlier on Thursday, Adhikari said “Mamata Banerjee Ji is the Chief Minister as well as the health minister of the state. She likes to do politics on every issue and blaming BJP and PM Modi on every issue is her old habit”
