Before the commencement of the rally on Wednesday afternoon, CPIM state secretary Suryakant Mishra, district secretary Tarun Roy, CPIM leader Tapash Sinha, former MLA and CPI leader Santosh Rana, Congress district president Sameer Roy, R.P. Bhattacharya, Sukumar Singh of Forward Block, Shailen Maiti of CPIML and others. Although the rally was attended and supported by the procession, the Congress leadership did not walk in the procession. About tens of thousands of people from different parts of the district took part in the procession. The entire procession was led by Suryakant Mishra, Tarun Roy, Tapas Sinha, Kirti De Boxi and other leftists from the front row.

During the procession, slogans were raised against the anti-public interest activities of the BJP government at the Center and the Trinamool government in the state, including the repeal of the Agriculture Act. The procession started from the college grounds and ended at Golkunyarchak, Battala, Nannur Chowk, Keranitola, Khudiram Junction, Gandhi Junction, Post Office Road. Despite the occasional drizzle, the procession proceeded in the normal rhythm. And the left leadership and supporters are naturally happy with this large-scale procession.
