TMC and Center argument over PM Kisan scheme and Ghatal Master Plan

News Desk: The TMC government of West Bengal distributed chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s signed letter to farmers blaming the BJP government at the center for delaying the transfer of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi money to Bengal. In her letter she also said that the farmers of the state are getting much less than what they deserve.

The letter says

“You all know, in 2018 the Bengal government started Krishak Bandhu and that has now become a model in the country. Soon after, in 2019, the PM-Kisan scheme started. Krishak Bandhu is much better than PM-Kisan scheme and many farmers have benefited from our scheme.

Farmers are getting much less than what they deserve. The state government will fight for the recovery of arrears in the coming days”

Earlier on Tuesday, chief minister Mamata Banerjee visited the flood-hit areas of Ghatal. “This is a man-made flood. The Centre is not paying heed to our requests for the Ghatal Master Plan. Repeated requests are falling into deaf ears. I will send a team to New Delhi to pursue the Centre in approving the project” she said.

“I have conducted a survey of the area. I will prepare a report on this” she added.
