Two men assaulted by Bajrang Dal activists alleging beef transportation on goods van

News Desk: Bajrang Dal activists on Monday intercepted a vehicle and assaulted two men alleging that they were transporting beef on their goods van. The incident was reported from NR Pur Taluk’s Devadan Village.

The Bajrang Dal activists alleged that the duo was stealing cattle near Vijayapura Estate and were slaughtering it to sell the meat by transporting it on their goods van. The activists intercepted the vehicle near Devadana village and assaulted the duo.

The two people from the goods vehicle who were beaten up by the Bajrang Dal activists have been identified as Ibrahim and Sharif both residents of Kadlemakki village.

The activists after assaulting the duo handed them over to the local police along with the vehicle and meat. Ibrahim and Sharif also filed a counter-complaint against the activists for assaulting them.

The police filed cases after receiving complaints from both the parties and have arrested Ibrahim, Sharif, and five Bajrang Dal activists. Police said they were further investigating the matter.
