“We are with the students”: Mamata Banerjee

News Desk: The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee opposes the center’s National Education Policy 2020 and announced setting up of universities on the name of Netaji and BR Ambedkar.

She said “The struggle of the students is very dear to them. They compete to excel in their exams. The new policy is removing the ranking system. That won’t motivate students. We don’t support the new education policy NEP, we are writing letters. There are students who come from very humble families, they endure many hardships and then when they rank in exams, they see that as an achievement. We can’t deprive them of that emotion. We are with the students”

She added “Students are our future. You all should remember unity and brotherhood. There are people who play cast politics, want to play divisive politics on lines of religion. But blood has no colour apart from one. We are all together and should always remain”
