West Bengal: State government extended existing Covid-safety regulations till November 30, added few relaxations

News Desk: The West Bengal government has extended the existing Covid-safety regulations till November 30 while adding a few relaxations.

The new order stated that schools will reopen for students of Class 9-12 on November 16. Local trains have been allowed to operate at 50% capacity.

Now, government offices of non-essential and non-emergency services will also remain open with 50% of the total strength, while emergency services continue operations with 100% attendance.

The new statement also stipulated that cinema halls, theatres, auditoriums, stadia, shopping malls, market complexes, restaurants, gyms, and spas are allowed to remain as per operational hours with 70% capacity and not beyond 11pm.

The night curfew hours of 11pm-5am will continue to be in force but will be relaxed during Kali puja and Diwali from November 2-5 and for Chhat Puja on November 10 and 11.
