Live broadcast of Chandrayaan-3 landing on Facebook and YouTube

Debjit Mukherjee: India on its way to make history in space. If all is well, Chandrayaan will land on the moon on Wednesday! Excitement inside ISRO is at peak over the landing of the lander Vikram on the ‘dark side’ of the satellite or the South Pole. The whole country is eagerly waiting for that historic moment. And the entire country will see Vikram’s landing live on Facebook.

On Sunday, the Indian space research organization ISRO tweeted that the lander Vikram will land on the moon at 6:04 pm on Wednesday. Landing of Chandrayaan-3 will be broadcast live on ISRO website (isro.gov.in), Facebook (facebook.com/ISRO), YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLA_64yz8Ss). Sunlight does not reach the south pole of the moon. As a result, the region is plunged into darkness forever. So far no country has successfully landed there. Therefore, standing on the threshold of making history, ISRO’s anxiety is now at peak.
